About Us

OUR PHILOSOPHY
The child’s right to play and need for nature are at the heart of our philosophy.
At Linden Hills Nature School, we prioritize play. We believe that children thrive when their foundation is built upon freely chosen, self-directed, and intrinsically motivated play.
Children in our program develop self-regulation, build confidence, and gain social skills as they run, jump, climb, imagine, wonder, and explore in the natural world. The life skills gained while playing outside prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

As naturalists, we are committed to inspiring and teaching respect for the earth and all its creatures.
This includes modeling and fostering respect for self and for others at all times. We encourage cooperative activities, guiding children into co-creative adventures.
